Bataan and Corregidor

The Battle of Bataan (FilipinoLabanan sa Bataan) (7 January – 9 April 1942) was fought by the United States and the Philippine Commonwealth against Japan during World War II. The battle represented the most intense phase of the  Japanese invasion of the Philippines during World War II. In January 1942, forces of the Imperial Japanese Army and Navy invaded Luzon along with several islands in the Philippine Archipelago after the bombing of the American naval base at Pearl Harbor.

Looking back on it now, it is truly an important part of our history as our country fought for the intervention of the invasion of the Japanese military forces, with national heroes who fought for their lives with their love of their country filled their hearts with bravery and honor as many lives were lost. Their duties as Philippine soldiers were much more than just being a normal soldier, they were part of the Philippine military, with hardships faced in training which would lead up to the moment where their hard work would pay off. Though the Philippine military lost to the Japanese Imperial Army, a lot of lives were involved and were in harmed, I truly believe that we won in our hearts whether how many people wants to deny it it wont change my belief and the love they had and I have for my country will never ever waver, whether its in the face of fear and adversity.
