Love is in the Air!

This year, 2021 is a new beginning for all of us (I’m assuming ). How time has passed by so fast, for me it feels like it’s still 2020, despite the fact that we are already in our 2nd Quarter of our Grade 10 school year. January is now long gone, February too. But there is a certain day in February that has become a hot topic in social media platforms, making most single people try to not look at their social media to avoid getting jealous or hurt. And that is….Valentine’s Day.

Now, we all know that Valentine’s day is a day that we get to celebrate that day ( February 14 ) with a special loved one, specifically someone romantically involved with you. Though stereotypically only limited to couples but is also for everyone. There are lots of ways to celebrate this day of loving. Some common ones are going out on dates, eating out on a fancy restaurant, the typical giving of chocolates to loved ones, sending those sweet, affectionate and cringey messages that contains words that come from your heart and having fun and spending time with the person who will always be beside you.

Valentines day really is considered an universal holiday for all. How spending the day with your lover is already a rush of happiness and a feeling of bliss. But Valentines day is also about different kinds of love that many people expresses to their loved ones like family and friends. Because on my opinion, I feel like people have this way of thinking that Valentines is ONLY reserved for couples, and they are wrong. Valentines day is so much more than a day of love. Valentines is a day where you can express your feelings of affection to many people that you love and be thankful for in your life.

For the single people out there, don’t worry you’re not alone and someday the day will come too where you will meet “the one” and though you might not believe it, you will know. Happy belated Valentines day to all!
